What is COOL SCHOOL?
While purposefully designed to be engaging and fun, the Education Soaring COOL SCHOOL Day Program should not be viewed primarily as day care. Rather, it is a unique opportunity for students to engage with like-minded peers socially and academically on days when their home schools are closed due to teacher work days, conference days or holidays.
A TYPICAL day usually includes ...
... Social interaction while engaged in activities such as chess, board games, and mind boggling puzzles.
... Construction using Lego, Zome, K'nex,Chaos Tower, Skyrail, and more.
... High-interest lessons on areas of focus.
... Guest speaker or guest instructor.
... Computer fun using relevant, approved programs and websites.
... Independent reading from our library that includes books like Calvin and Hobbes and Star Wars, and books on topics such as history, world records, animals, how things work, etc.
... Homework help, if requested by parents.
